It could be as simple as the flu or as detrimental as losing a memory. There are those who don't want to pay the price for magic and it's Allie's job to find them.

Hounding a little boy who is dying from a magic Offload, Allie finds her estranged father's magic signature. They haven't seen each other for years and she would rather live day-to-day than accept her family legacy. Magic to the Bone is a fascinating read filled with magic, danger, and mystery. Allison Beckstrom is one of the best Hounds there is. Tracking down illegal Offloads and helping innocent victims is her bread and butter - even if it doesn't pay much. She could live off her family's wealth and prestige, but she hasn't seen her father in years.

When she's called to St. John's to hound a kid, she finds her father's magical signature all over him. Angered into confronting him, Allie storms to her father's office and unwittingly stumbles into the world of corporate espionage and black magic.

Now there's a super attractive man following her, but she can't trust her body's response to him. Zayvion Jones is a delicious mystery. He talks little, and dodges most questions Allie asks. He's almost always seen with a poker face and an air of Zen-like calm. But there are moments when something like fire flickers in his eyes, and that's when Allie knows she's in trouble.

Events unfold and things spiral out of control. Allie finds she is being hunted down by one of her own, falsely accused of a crime she didn't commit. She will have to tap into all of her power to get out of this tangled web, but will she learn things she would rather forget?

A unique take on Magic, and magic users. Magic to the Bone is packed with action, danger, and secrets. Allie Beckstrom is one tough chick. She's knocked down repeatedly, but she always gets back up, ready to fight. She's independent and can take care of herself, but that doesn't mean she's immune to whatever sparks between her and Zayvion. Speaking of which, I am dying to learn more about this enigmatic hottie! A great urban fantasy!

Books 2-6 are already out. In order: Magic in the Blood, Magic in the Shadows, Magic on the Storm, Magic at the Gate, and Magic on the Hunt.
